Shopping

As the gambling capital of the world, bustling Las Vegas reeks of guests from all corners of the world with still more money to spare, after nights in poker tables, for the mandatory shopping along The Strip.

Bustling Las Vegas is definitely a shopping haven with upscale hotel boutiques, exclusive shops on and off The Strip, and towering malls that encompass miles and miles of retail therapy, both for the winner and the losers in those fabulous casinos. Vegas players will not run out of shops to choose from, whether one opts to grab the latest Hermes bag in Via Bellagio or score a vintage jewelry in a quaint voodoo shop off the beaten track.

Just like Broadway in New York City, the shopping district in Vegas can be divided into three major zones: Shopping on The Strip, Shopping Off The Strip, and the general specialty shops (off-off the Strip).

Shopping on The Strip involves a frenzied tour of the biggest high-end shopping landmarks in Las Vegas, composed of in-hotel shopping complex such as the Grand Canal Shoppes in The Venetian Hotel, the Forum Shop in Caesar’s Palace Hotel, The Shoppes at the Palazzo, and the Wyn Esplanade at the Wynn Hotel, among others.

Off the strip shopping offers the same visual feats of crisp fashion finds, must-have jewelry, and other items from stand-alone shops that comprise many off-the-strip mall districts. They include Galleria Mall, The Boulevard, Meadows Mall, MonteLago Village, and The District (Green Valley Ranch, among others.

Finally, unique individual stores in corner streets and lots in proximity to the strip area comprise the specialty shop zones in Las Vegas.

It can be a dizzying experience cramping within one day all the shopping destinations in Las Vegas. Start with the most accessible wherever you are. Or scour the best recommended shops, such as Anthropologie (personal and home fashion), Indra Grae Boutique (high-end fashion labels), Hyde Park Jewellers (classic diamonds and jewelry), Buffalo Exchange (gift cards), and Reading Room (bookstore), among others.
